Creating A Perfectly Round, Highly Radioactive, Rubber, Playing Die

  1. I wish you had posted this a little more zoomed in. It's a little hard to tell what's going on. I'm not sure that I'd get what the invention is without the caption.
I like the guy's confused expression on the bottom. It's definitely clear that this object is destructive instead of useful.

  2. I question where this is taking place? not sure what the guy at the bottom is doing is he playing with them?, but I like the wizard because it indicates there playing a board game, burn mark are clear that the die is a dangerous object,

  3. I think you could trim this concept down to just a perfectly round playing die--highly radioactive + rubber seem to be confusing you. I don't understand what's going on in the panel with the wizard--could you clear that up some?

  4. Yeah, they're in an attic/ multi floor building place. i could close it in a bit and render the top a bit more to make it drop back a bit farther...can we use captions in this? Like an advertisement? Maybe?

  5. And theyre playing some board game (DD, i dont know, he's supposed to be a "geek") with a dice that really doesn't work... at all. the rubber radioactivity was just so i didnt draw a circle with numbers on it... i think nate would eat me if i did that.

  6. I was pretty confused that it was an explosive dice. At first I though the guy downstairs dropped an explosive sunny side up.

I think it might be clearer is the downstairs was eliminated. I also think it might be a good idea to show the board they are playing on. I like the wizard.

  7. aahaha I love the little wizard nerd.
I didn't think the illustration was that confusing...I could follow the trail it left by burning through the ceiling/floor. Then again, I saw your title before the piece, so it might have already been in my head.

  8. yea i would say you nailed it with the uselessness of the dice being radio active, and I like the different takes on how to play with it and what it does to a person but I wish it was more zoomed in and clearer on the bottom scene, I think that would help sustain the idea more.

  9. I love the concept but I would just like to see more clarification on what is being shown in the illustration. Does it just burn through the table and floor? That IS pretty useless. I love it!

  10. I think the idea's great, but I agree that it just needs some clarity. Play around with the perspectives a bit, you could get some really cool shots of the ball bouncing everywhere like crazy. Is the wizard suppose to be a geek playing dungans and dragons?

oh yeah, also I couldent access my old blogspot account, so I had to create a new one, this is my new correct address:

  11. i think the roundness of the die is probably enough justification of being a useless invention, although i appreciate all radioactive things

  12. Sorry, I don't get your idea. I could tell there is a story, but I don't know what it is. I don't see why the invetion is useless.

  13. i like the creepy wizard! he is just... strange, but cute.

i have a problem about the placement.
is the radioactive thing happening under the floor?
maybe you can make it clear by the randering. i wanna see more value in this.

  14. I had to read all the comments to understand what was going on in the picture :(
    I love the characters though!

  15. "i think nate would eat me if i did that."
UNTRUE. Simplicity in concept = gold. Circular die is brilliant in itself.
You could use the radioactive symbol when clarifying this (http://www.henrycomptonscience.co.uk/online/images/hazard/radioactive.png)
